Is your garden missing something? Do all the plants seem just a little glum? Perhaps it's time to let American sculptor George Carruth introduce a little whimsy and fun into your grumpy garden. This delightful rain gauge features an adorably thirsty toad, head turned upward to catch the raindrops in the well-marked glass gauge he holds in his mouth. The toad and base have been cast from an original design by Carruth Studio and are made of stone concrete designed to endure season after season of rain drinking. This witty conversation piece has been crafted with intricate detail, from the warts on the toad's back to the tiny ladybug, snail, and earthworm gathered around him.

Carruth 172 Drinking The Rain Rain Gauge Customer Review

...with Mr. Froggy. I, too, lost the tube part of the gauge. Well, let me restate that: I know where it is (hence, technically not lost) but it's not like I can get to it. That's going to require some scoping. Seems like there's no end in sight.

Regardless, prior to that bad experience this was the hands-down favorite on my deck. I spent hours staring, staring....waiting to see who would make the first move. I ALWAYS LOST!! I'LL SHOW YOU.

..see how you like the dark. Hm? You like it? Anyway, I've got to get a replacement tube.
