The mailbox is sturdily built with an excellent finish as per the description. Please note the dimensions of the mailbox, in that it was larger than expected (a good point in that we needed a large capacity). The problem arose with the door, specifically the latching system. The latch on ours arrived with a broken retainment screw (too small of a diameter for its intended purpose) that cannot be easily replaced since the screw is welded to the door. Rather than return the item to Amazon, I contacted the manufacturer who overnighted a new door for self replacement. If not for their excellent customer service and quick response to the matter, I would have rated the item 4 stars given this engineering defect.
