There are no visible rivets on the sides or back, and the 8 rivets at the front are specially designed stainless steel. A zinc cam lock with zinc die cast cylinder is included. We're thrilled with our Oasis Jr. mailbox, purchased at Lowe's. I love the added security and the ability to go out of town without stopping mail delivery. The mailbox opening can accommodate most small packages without a problem. It is true that a person with very thin arms can reach at least partially inside the box, but our goal was to purchase a mailbox, not a bank vault.
The mailbox is very sturdy and all moving and locking parts work well. I was particularly impressed by the rubber gaskets inside both mail openings, which ensure quiet operation and also keeps the mail from getting wet. The box came with 2 keys, which is nice. The keys are coded, so I'm thinking that replacements could be ordered from Architectural Mailboxes if both keys were lost?
We purchased the matching 'Architectural Mailboxes Oasis In-ground Post' through Amazon (.75 plus free shipping). The Oasis Jr. aligned perfectly with the post and was a breeze to install.
I have no doubt the Oasis Jr. and post will endure many deliveries, harsh weather and any other reasonable abuse thrown it's way.
